hey there
Finding Neverland is the story of the Author and playwrite of Peter pan, J.M Barrie. The story explains that Barrie was in a rut and finding it very hard to get his Muse back from writing. When he discovers a family of boys with a single mother, his creative thoughts start to come back to him. The movie is based much more on the life of Barrie and the insperation he recived from this family, rather then the actual play. This movie is funny and sad as well, definetly worth seeing if you every wondered about the man who was Peter Pan. Based on actual events.

This is a great movie. Nick Cage is back, after a couple box office disasters (Adaptation, Matchstick Men) this movie puts Cage back at the top, #1 this week. The movie has a really good plot, and makes you think again "why hasn't a movie like this been made before?"
Cage stars as Benjamin Franklin Gates (don't worry he changes his name a few times during the film), a sort of archaeologist/explorer reminiscent of Indiana Jones. Gates is a great great great (not sure how many greats) grandson of a guy who knows that there is secret treasure in which the for fathers of this nation, tried to hide from the British during the revolutionary war. Gates is equiped with a team of helpers, some of which turn greedy during the search, and the race is on to save the treasure from each other. Gates has more of a historical idea for the treasure that is to be found, while his counterpart wants the money. They both find out early that there is something written on the back of the Declareation of Independence.
The movie is filled with clues and twist and turns that keep you help on the edge of your seat. Pay close attention to the clues to be found along the way, their signifigance is factual history in some cases. If I did'nt know any better this movie could have actually been a true story. But of course we all know that there is no treasure........or is there?! :-)
Scale of 1-5: 5 great for the whole family, some shooting, no swearing.
Okay, let me start by saying that I had to drive 30 miles to find a theatre that was even playing this God awful film... but I was sure it would be worth it. The idea for the movie was intriguing and probably the reason most went to check it out. Unfortunately, it was all wrong! The relationship between Anna and her husband is never witnessed before his death. You don't see his face and you never see Anna until ten years later. You just see some man jogging fall over in Central Park and then a baby is born who is conveniently named Sean just like Anna's dead husband. So there is no character development to start and it doesn't get any better. Flashforward and some creepy kid is hanging around Anna's apt. saying "I'm Sean" with an expressionless demeanor until Anna eventually believes him. And while he offers "proof" by giving facts only Anna could know, the audience doesn't care because we never saw her husband and we don't even know if the kid is accurate, it must be assumed. The ending is confusing and ambiguous and Anne Heche's character is neither convincing nor explained at any point in the film. Not really her fault I guess, the writing is just so bad! Sean the child is too easily convinced that he is not Sean and nothing is really explained in a satisfying way. Although some things should be left to the imagination the movie goes nowhere! It's trying too hard to be artsy and it fails miserably...

Well I saw the Incredibles over the weekend and it was Awsome. It's about a Superhero named Mr. Incredible, whos power is super strength, who marries another superhero Elasta Girl, who's power is stretching.
When common folk start accuse them of Chaos instead of good, the superheros go into hiding, and the Incredibles are born. While working at his dead beat job at an insurance company, Mr. Incredible seeks more, and longs for the old glory days. With his kids getting into trouble at school, and feeling like they are left out, Mr. Incredible is offered with another assignment, that doesn't take any hesitation to accept.
The Incredibles if fun for everyone, and is another Pixar masterpiece that makes you think, Hey why didn't they think of this earlier.
Dont get me wrong, I totally like animation and expecially computer generated movies, but Shark Tale, comes short of story. The movie is very entertaining, but there is an overdone amount of quirky jokes, such as katie current, and get off your shell phones, its about 2 hours of that. The movie does have its moments, and I did laugh outloud a few times, like at the sea horse races. Anyways go see it if you want to be entertained fast. Overall its about 2 out of 5.

First of all this movie is Awsome. I know its not playing in alot of theaters but if its playing at one near you, you should go and see it. This movie is definetly going to become a cult classic, and its so simple.
Napoleon Dynamite is in High School, not having many friends cause they tend to pick on him because hes sort of a retro 80's geek, reminded me of the days of ATARI. He makes friends with a new mexican student, Pedro, and quickly learns how to mac with the ladies. The humour used in this movie is very dry and reminded me of high school a little bit. Not your typical underdog triumphs and wins type of story. Oh NO! Napoleon Dynamite reaches every aspect of geekness and overcomes his challenges in his own unique way. VERY HISTERICAL
1-10 Star Rating: 10
GO SEE IT!!!
For the past few weeks I was unable to visit the theater for a new viewing of movies cause of the hurricane, and as i prepare for the next one, looks like another weekend shot. Well thats ok cause there is nothing good out anyways. Looks like everything pretty much sucks now.
